Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers Worth Adding to Your Collection
Golden Goose Deluxe Brand is something I’ve always admired. They were launched back in 2000 after the collaboration between Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Through the years, they have become a major designer brand with flagship stores in multiple countries, and it’s one that many fashion lovers are drawn to.
I’ve followed Golden Goose for ages and I would often browse the selection at FarFetch, as they always had an curated selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always found them a bit pricey and resembled Converse too much, so they were always saved for later. Some time back, Adam was the one who originally loved the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what inspired me to look into them more. Having seen his in person and seeing how each pair of their shoes is completely unique because they’re handmade in Italy, I was totally into it. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are intentionally aged and made to seem broken-in, they are all hand done so they’re truly one-of-a-kind. Some have stronger distressing than others, so there’s a whole spectrum.
If you’re shopping offline, it might be a good idea to look at multiple pairs and choose from them, but if you’re ordering online, you have to roll the dice!The pair of sneakers that I originally fell in love with first are the ones above in the main image, as they’ve been available for years, but I never ended up purchasing them.
I actually ended up getting the metallic version off Shopbop, and they’re a pair I have worn on and off over the years (see here and my Golden Goose review here). I genuinely adore them! I bought another pair in the same model and customized them with dark laces + a burgundy detail, so they’re really cute! I also own a pair of velvet burgundy Golden Goose, and two pairs of high tops! I do definitely want a solid black set, but I have a pair of Converse in black canvas, so I’m not sure I should double up, even though they’re different.

How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have.
I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose are just on another level.

Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is one of a kind.

Would you buy again?
Absolutely! Though I suggest looking for a deal.
They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is a better idea.
Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot.
Mine have pink glitter, but a neutral version would also be smart.
